This year's campaign, Fraud Fortnight, will run from 24 February to 8 March 2008.
Fraud Fortnight focuses on scams that seduce you and deceive you by promising you things like great prizes, true love or easy money.
During Fraud Fortnight, you will hear messages on the radio and see information in newspapers and online which will help you learn how to arm yourself and protect your identity and your hard-earned money.
Government agencies, banks, businesses and community groups are all joining together to participate in Fraud Fortnight and help the taskforce spread its message.
SCAMwatch is the website portal for the campaign. More information about the campaign and how you can get posters and flyers is available on the ACFT Fraud Fortnight page of SCAMwatch.
Fraud Fortnight coincides with the International Fraud Prevention Month, an initiative organised by the International Consumer Protection and Enforcement Network (ICPEN). Scams are a global problem and consumer agencies around the world participate in campaigns to warn consumers against global scams and fraud during February and March 2008.
