Scamwatch is run by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC). It provides information to consumers and small businesses about how to recognise, avoid and report scams.
Each year we spend a week raising awareness of how scams operate in our community. This year's Scams Awareness Week is 8 to 12 November 2021, and the theme for the week is ‘Let’s talk scams’.
The SAN, formerly the Australasian Consumer Fraud Taskforce, is made up of government regulatory agencies and departments in Australia and New Zealand that work alongside private sector, community and non-government partners to raise awareness about scams and disrupt them.
The ACCC and Scamwatch team greatly appreciate your contribution to the collection of scam-related data. This information is used to keep Australians informed about the latest scams in circulation.
