Warning: We've had reports of scammers using ACCC phone numbers to contact members of the public. They do this to steal personal information. The ACCC will never cold call consumers and does not make calls from our reception numbers. If this happens to you, please hang up and report it to us. This issue is being investigated.
In February the ACCC received a spike in contacts about fake rebate schemes so we are warning people to be aware of calls from a fake government department claiming you are owed money.
