Scams information and statistics
Use recent scams information and statistics to develop your content for Scams Awareness Week:
- Scams statistics dashboard. This data can be filtered by scam type, state, period, age, contact method and gender.
- Targeting scams report: report of the National Anti-Scam Centre on scams data and activity 2024. This report discusses scams reported by Australians in 2024 and the impact of combined efforts by government, law enforcement, community sector and industry to fight them.
- NASC media releases. These can be a useful resource for information about particular scam types and trends. For example, 'National Anti-Scam Centre calls for stronger business role to disrupt scams' discusses scam trends and statistics from the second quarter of 2025.
- National Anti-Scam Centre Job Scam Fusion Cell final report May 2025. This report highlights efforts to tackle job and employment scams.
- National Anti-Scam Centre Investment Scam Fusion Cell final report May 2024. This report looks at investment scams, imposter bond and term deposit scams, and AI trading platform scams.
